From MCI, I have exciting news...

June 2006 the Mazdaspeed Mazda3 Sport will be available in Canada!!
It will only be available on the Sport platform (I will wait for the Sedan. ) and approximate MSRP will be $30K.

Beginning production in June 06 there will also be a MX5 (Miata) offering a retractable hard top, this will add $2000 to the price.

Production on the 2006 Tribute will stop in June of 2006.
The new CX7 (ie: Cross Sport) will begin production January 2006 approximate MSRP will be $31K... In August of 2006 a CX9 will be produced. it will be a larger 7 passenger SUV. MSRP ~$39K

Just keeping everyone in the loop.

 

I wouldn't hold my breath on some of those...... The MS6 was supposed to be here by summer...it's now fall..

Also, a hardtop MX5 will add so much weight to the car I don't see them doing it but who knows..... They spent time trying to figure out how to shave 11ounces from the rear view mirror so adding something as frivolous as a hardtop convertible seems counterproductive.

 

Update on the MS6, they are currently in production. the set back was due to the fire last year, they are supposed to be here by December.

Got 1 on order.

 

according to mazda usa they are waiting on them any day now. When they come in I'll go drive it. If it akes me smile I'll buy one. If not I'll keep looking.

mazdaspeed 6 soon to arrive, we already seeing in the US just a matter of time for CND

 

i think you mean that they are already out in canada, it'll be another few months for the USA. I'm trying to get concrete dates now.
