Mazda 3- S series with 740 engine blew at idol

I guess the lifespan of the modern Mazda is shorter than most think. I have a 2014 Mazda 3-s series fully loaded with 740 miles on the car. At a stop sign and at idol the engine went BOOM BOOM BOOM. The dealer said its a wear item and not covered under warrantee. I must now buy a new motor and then I will sell the car and buy a Ford. The Ford lasts at least 1000 miles before it breaks $28,000 down the drain thanks Mazda. P. S. the Ford dealer has offered me a trade in value of $3,500 for my Mazda after the motor is replaced. .

No the computer stuff did no good. I now am looking forward to my new Ford. The 2014 Mazda is going to the crusher. The junk yard is giving me $250.00 for the car as with low miles they will sell the other parts to other Mazda owners

Your car is barely a year old and the engine went due to a wear item? Sounds like they were filling you with a load of BS. What was the wear item?
