I need your opinion, please?

If you ordered a MS3GT in mid-April w/ deposit and a delivery date of July, would you expect April's pricing or July's pricing when the car arrives?

Ordered a CWP MS3GT in mid-April, intentionally chose a June build to allow time to sell two cars. Just received VIN but no pricing. At the time of the order, Crystal White Pearl was available as well as Metro Gray Mica, Red and Black. Visited MazdaUSA.com recently and discovered that CWP is now a $200 option. Talked with my salesman today and he says that there is a charge for the pearl paint from Mazda. Sounds like there is going to be a $200 to $300 difference between Aprils MSRP and July's MSRP.

What do you think?

I'm no expert, but I don't think placing an order is a contract. They can probably charge the price as it is upon delivery. Just my opinion. Maybe you can haggle them down a couple hundred. Have you negotiated pricing yet? If you had planned to pay full MSRP, you're not getting the best deal you could.

Out here, this car with all the features as stock, there exists little negotation. It's a lot of vehicle for the money. The April discussion went like this, $24690 (dealer prep destination incl) plus any options added. The problem, not huge of course, is the paint wasn't an option but explained as a replacement for the Cobalt Blue that was discontinued. Metro Gray was also a selection, not an option listed at that time. CWP and MetroGray were not listed on MazdaUSA at that time. Now both colors are listed with the CWP as a $200 option.

So I suppose the waiting game for the final numbers is the next milestone. I've been told this could be before the end of June. Thanks for your input. Film at 11.

I'd say MSRP on delivery.

But I would always try and haggle my way down.

Get them to drop the dealer prep fee...... it's complete BS as they do that stuff to every car.
