Cool Gas miliage

I have 2010 3i touring have it two weeks have 500 miles on it I gets 25-26 mpg. Does anyone know if it will increase as the engine breaks in?

that's way low... i've got an 07 and noticed that after a battery reset the MPG is high by ~5-7MPG for the first tank as the computer is figuring out the optimal settings or something. You can try a batt reset, doesn't need to be more than 10 sec, it'll reset the trip odometer BTW along with the radio etc... If you want to get away from that you can pull the fuse for the cluster and it should have the same effect. See what the mileage does and go from there.

I saw no change in MPG from 0 miles to the now 28k miles besides the time of year. Also, calculate your mileage - don't trust the trip computer as it continuously reads a few MPG on the high side. Any excessive idling will kill your mileage as well, same with A/C use.
