Did my first oil change on my 5 door 3 today. Can't figure out why the round hole in the front underside plastic cover is not aligned with the oil filter. I am considering cutting a hole just under the filter and making a cover that can cover the original hole. Will stop the need to remove the splash guard each oil change. Anyone here do such a mod.?

I'd rather remove the cover and have more space, rather than cutting a hole and spending time cleaning the cover after the oil gets all over it.
