First problem. Anyone else have it?

Hey guys, posted this on mazda3revolution:

Here goes: I'm having a problem with my 2011 5-door AT that has happened twice this week. With my iPod playing in AUX mode I lose stereo sound and only the right channel (passenger side) speakers emit sound and the drivers side speakers cut out. I know you can get this type of problem by playing with the plug in the input, but I've checked the AUX plug inputs/jacks for the car and iPod over and over to make sure it wasn't the issue. Have checked a number of things, and get this; the problem goes away when the car is shifted into Park!

Leads me to believe that there is some sort of electrical issue between the AUX input for the car and gear selector in the center console. What the hell could be causing this? When I shift back to Drive the problem doesn't come back either. Any ideas? I'd really love to avoid the dealership trying to hunt down the ghost in the machine and end up effing something else up.
