I was washing my car the other day and noticed some black grease on one of the rims. After taking off the wheel I saw that the outer CV joint boot on the front passenger side had a pretty good sized gash in it . I can't even say when this may have happened, I'm guessing it's been like that about a month or so.

I've looked around at Schucks and Napa and they do not carry the part. I just got off the phone with the Mazda dealership and they only carry the entire CV shaft assembly for a wopping $450!

Anyone have any ideas as to where I can get this part from??

2005 Mazda 3 2.3i manual tranny, front passenger CV Joint (or entire assembly)

 

If you can't find one, I'd try the local pick 'n pulls...
