catalytic converter

Has anyone else had a bad rotten egg smell in their Mazda3? They (the dealer) tell me that it is "unfortunately normal" due to problems with the catalytic converter and told me to try a new brand of gas or a better grade (I just use regular as gas prices in Newfoundland are crazy).

I have heard nothing of a prob with the cats on 3's..There are no TSB's on it..do you have stock exhaust ? if so take the car to the dealer for service...no such thing as a "problem with the cat being normal"...that sentence doesnt even make sense...a problem on a new car is not normal, unless it's made by GM,
