I dont know man its just my personal preference. To me Hyundai still has not done enough improvements to their line of cars to impress me. I still dont trust them anymore then I would trust a Kia or a Geo. And even now adays Toyota they are slacking behind too, thats what happens when you outsource your work **** starts to get fucked up. Look at Volkswagon all made in Mexico and **** those things are **** boxes now. To me if it is a Japanese maker and it doesnt say Made in Japan I dont want it, and that goes to the others also ie. Volkswagon/Germany and American's/USA. But that is just my personal preference, and I dont get anything that is made in Korea, they are just known to me to make knock off cheap ****.

I don't want to see this thread get too far off-topic, but, the tib in question was bought by a friend anyway. She really likes my Pro and has driven it on several occasions but wanted a coupe. She also didn't really want the same kind of car as me--we work in a small office and
well, people already think there is something going on between us (which isn't true), but she just couldn't bring herself to buy a Pro.
As for older Hyundais, yep they were crap for several reasons, not the least of which was the Mitsu drive train. I owned a Mirge back in the day. I liked the car but got sick of the tranny problems and had to dump it. (Only 35k on it, too!)
Finally, this Tib is the I4, not the GT. I don't think it'll outrun me, but it's not a bad car...
Also, it's about 50lbs heavier than my ES, which I thought was odd.
