Good Morning ALL -

This past Saturday I just traded in my '94 Protege (@ exactly 120K) and bought the 3S with just about everything.

So far I am absolutely in love with the car, tho' I have noticed this 'thread through the leather' thing Treetop was talking about.

Other than the few quirks I am getting used to... its been raining and the car started bringing in outside air to clear the window automatically... wasn't used to that.

And the lights changing color on the gauges caught me off guard (in a good way)

The only thing I would have asked for was either a 6 disk that also played MP3s, or a place to plug in an XM or MP3 player instead of a six disk indesh plain jane CD system... but what ever I think I can get over it...

Hope my later model will have had all these things you all have listed, already fixed?

You can get an MP3 player installed by the dealer. Its $325 though, but I bet it probably holds more than an Ipod for the same price. I wish there was a place to plug my Ipod in too, I dont want to get a tape deck (I just use one of those tapes that you hook up to the ipod in the car I have now). But whats the use of getting a tape deck (its like getting a floppy drive on a new computer). The one entertainment option I wish they had was a subwoofer (like they did in the mazdaspeed).

 

Dude, I just bought my Mazda 3 a short time ago and love it! Yeah the gauges are funky & what not, but man is the car sweet!!!! I'm thinking about swapping out the carbon fiber on the doors & dash for the blue pieces instead. Anyone know if I can get a blue tinted bulb for the license plate light?
