I have a Mazda 3 "5" dr. I have no desire to purchase an expensive roof rack for the limited amount of times I will transport a bike. Does anyone know of a bike rack designed to fit the hatch back of the Mazda 3? The reason I ask is that Thule list their Speedway 961XT as compatible with this car, but, after I asked Thule customer service they say the trunk/hatch mount racks don't work with spoilers. Is there another manufacturer that does?

I put a hitch on my 3 and they used a hitch mounted rack and that has worked great for me with two Recumbents.

I use a Thule Speedway 3 rack on the back of my Speed3 and its straps go under the spoiler with no troubles. I'd have to dig for the Thule model number though, it's not marked on the rack.
