Big problem? or nothing to worry about?

A while back, my sister came down from California to visit for about a week and had no car to drive around...of course being the nice little brother, i lend her my car for a few days...(just to add, she isnt to familiar with the sports-shift/manumatic or whatever anyone calls it) Anyways, she comes to me one day and asks me if there was something wrong with my car and explained to me that the engine kept reving at a high rpm all the time...I realized that she had drove it on manual and was on first gear the whole time!

soooo....will this have any effects on the tranny or engine whatsoever???

Ouch!!!! how long did she drive it. I would change the oil in both and look for chunks of metal not just steel but brass and things of that sort. There is a chance you will be ok but that is very iffy. Is it running ok now no knocking or anything like that right. It would be the engine with the most damage.

i think she drove it about seven miles or so. I did change the oil, nothing in it...and the car is driving fine so far. Did a couple long drive from Port Arthur to Houston, about a two hour trip one way, and still fine...

Thanks for the input though
