I've got 3 kids - 5, 3, and newborn - and I really like the Mazda 3 (5 door). I need to replace my sedan, and our main family car is the MPV. My wife insists our new car be able to accomodate all of us (in a pinch). Has anyone tried putting 3 car seats in the back of the Mazda 3? At this point we have one booster, one convertible car seat and an infant car seat. I can give it a try at the dealership but I thought I'd ask the group.

 

I have 2 in the back of mine, and there seems to be plenty of room in between (an adult could sit back there comfortably). My kids are 5 and 3. I have 2 of these seats (Evenflo Big Kid Booster Car Seat) in the back. Don't know how much room a newborn car seat would take up. I think it would fit, might be tight though. Best bet would be to bring your car seats and "test fit" them in one at the dealership. (like you said)
