2010 Mazda 3 Key Fob Weak Key Release
Hello,
I have both of the switchblade style key fobs to my 2010 Mazda 3, and on the key fob I've used since I bought it, the key release is extremely weak. When I depress the button, I need to manually pull the key out of the fob. Unfortunately, I made the problem worse by cleaning it with WD-40; I've since read this was a bad idea. Is my only option to totally disassemble the fob (starting with an exacto knife on the Mazda logo) in hopes cleaning it will resolve the issue? Looking at the steps to do so makes me a little leery, but I'm willing to give it a shot if that's my only option (short of buying a new fob, which I do not want to do).
Thanks!
