Question?
My 06 mazda 3 has a problem, Sometime it wont start in park i notice that the light over the "P" in not lit up so i turn the key forward and put the car in Nuetral the light over the "N" lights up and the car starts. this has been going on for awhile now. Warranty is up. Help Please

Could just be a bad microswitch in the gear selector..... basically it tells the car that the car is in park so that it will start. Since the switch isn't working the car doesn't think the selector is in a position to allow the car to start. It works when it's in neutral because obviously that switch still works.
