Red face 05' Mazda 3 Leather problem

I just bought an 05 Mazda 3 about 2 months ago.. Never had a problem with it. It has black leather all weather mats, Navi, moonroof, homelink mirror.. anyways.. The other day when i took my car to get washed, I used some leather wipes to clean the seats.. and it totally messed them up, now there is a white fim all over the seats.. any suggestions on what to use to clean leather seats.. ~Trish

your owners manual provides you with all of this information. Also when you purchased the car (if it was new) it usually has some sort of "quick reference guide" on a rubber string that gives you tips.

"Leather" in cars nowadays isn't really leather. It's mostly some mix of vinyl and synthetic fabric to simulate leather. I would try re-reading the manuals ehicle care section for suggestions. If that doesn't work call a local detail shop and ask what they use to condition and clean leather seats.

I used armor all leather care wipes in my Mazda3 without problem. Which brand were you using?

funny you mentioned that......I used the same thing....armor all leather cleaning wipes. Now my leather is covered in white film/streaks, it's really an eye sore.

Try McGuire's foam leather cleaner. I've used it a few times over the past 10 months and I really like it. It spreads real nice, smells good, and lasts a decent time...and no white seats either
