04-07 Intake Design

Hey, I'm doing some research for a friend, I offered to do a CAI setup on her Mazda 3, but money is an issue here.
Question:
Will the piping equipment in a CAI kit meant for an 04-06 work on an 07? Are there any major differences in the design of the 07 versus the 04-06 models that would be an issue?
The only reason I ask is some kits advertise as 04-08, and some are more specific such as 04-06.
Thanks,
-Tim

Cool that was exactly what I was wondering. I just needed to know for time estimation purposes on the install, I don't mind fabbing up brackets or piping, but I wanted to make sure it's possible and whether or not I have to drill an opening for the pipe

well,to tell you the truth,i recommend a short ram intake.a cold air might net you a couple more h.p.,however wehre it is located, the lf wheel flips water on it.also if you go thru a puddle you might lock up your motor.i'm in the process of getting a short ram.it's just not worth hydrolocking your motor nd bending a few rods(which just happened to me a couple of months ago.

as far as fabbing one up,go for it.the only thing is,where the mass airflow sensor bolts to the intake, the surface has to have a perfect seal, otherwise you can possibly suck in unfiltered air as well as possibly getting a false reading, which will throw your ignition and fuel trim off.
