will these winter tires fit properly

I have a 2007 mazda 3 sport gs... (205/55-16)

A friend of mine used to have an MPV, so he has an extra set of winter tires (215/60-16) he doesn't use anymore. They're already mounted on steels, just wondering whether the bolt pattern is the same, and whether tires that size would fit ok in the 3's wheel well?

Thanks.

The wheels should fit as all Mazdas use the same lug pattern. Since the outisde diameter is larger your speedometer will be off.... say about 1 mph or so at 60mph.

yea... I found the difference was about 5% in total circumfrance on the MPV tires (so a bit faster than speedometer reads, and less mileage accumulated on the odometer). I just didn't want to go through the hassle of picking them up and putting them on to find out they were too big for the wheel well... or that there wasn't enough clearance for the brakes.

Thanks for the info about the lug patter.
