Lowering performance???

Lowering performance???

Hey guys.

Im interested in lowering my Mazda 3s but am curious to find out what changes or implications it will have on the handing performace of the car. At the moment I love the way it handles and on the stock suspension set up I get nearly no body roll at all as well as a relatively smooth ride.

So I just wanted to know if I lowered my car if id loose any handling performace or if id gain any.

you'd most likely gain some handling. once you lower your car, your center of gravity will be reduced, which will decrease body roll.
however, you tend to get a rougher ride when you lower your car. not that much rougher, but you just feel the bumps more.

If you want handling performance, try a sway bar kit.
