larger wheels affect tire pressure sensor?
Hey,
I just got new 18" on my 3 (5-door) and the tire sensor light is on. I checked and they are all 32 psi as recommeneded by mazda.
I am not sure how those sensors work. Are they mounted on the stock wheel? Can these be removed and put on my new wheel?
If not, how do I turn off the light?

did you get new wheels, or just new tires? the pressure sensor is mounted on the stock wheel, at the valve stem. if you got new wheels, and the valve stems were NOT transfered over, thats why the light is on.

i hate those sensors...but if you like to rely on a light, then it is possible to install on your new rims, just gotta find someone with the right tools/machines and knows how to do it...BUT if you dont care, just pull the fuse
basically all you have to do is get the sensors, unscrew them off the oe's and mount them onto the new rims. imo, its too much damn work rather then getting a tire pressure gauge and getting your (not really talking directly to you) lazy *** up and check the tires. up to you
