Are you talking about just for tuning or unlocking a little hidden hp?

To start off I'd go with all your bolt on mods (intake, exhaust, header, plugs, plug wires, short shifter, etc.) and build the car to be as strong as you can NA. IMO the best turbo cars come from the best built NA cars. Get all that done, get your fuel right, and then look into the turbo and ECU aspect. It'll take some minor tuning/tweaking before going FI but once to get to that part it'll require some dyno time and some really good tuning. That's just my $0.02 tho. Take it for what it's worth. Haha.

sounds like a plan to me im trying to buy some wheels for right now but i was planning on internals first as i would want to boost more than 7psi im lookin to push over 300 to the wheels when all is said and done with internals and hiboost kit...maybe someday will upgrade turbo for a good 350-400 hp numbers but thats talking too many years in the future to say for sure lol

That's insane! Test drive a MS3 and see how much 250whp does for our cars. Should be more than enough for most people, haha.

Ha I hear ya on that one. Go all out if you're gonna go. That's the only way to do it. I'd love to see a non Mazdaspeed3 get to those numbers. You'd definetly have a car to be proud of then.

Get all that done and just put "ASLEEP" on your tag. Haha. I think that'd be pretty funny.
