i'd like to know if anybody has ever installed just the exhaust tip on a mazda 3 skyactiv motor !? i don't have 500-600$ to install a full exhaust system on my car but it's not making much noise right now and i don't like it lol just want to know if it would ruin the motor because of the "Skyactiv" technology, someone tolled me that it would screw up the compression of my motor if i did but i can't see it doing that as i'd just be replacing the exhaust tip cat and resonator would still be in place !!

Anybody tried this !? let me know

Don't listen to that person anymore. An exhaust TIP will do absolutely nothing but make the end of your exhaust pipe more shiny.
If you want it to sound better (and maybe even pick up a few hp), you've gotta spend some money. Corksport has a great rep.

i know about the corksport system, thats what i meant when i said i didnt feel like paying 500-600$ for a exhaust system lol i dont care much for more hp with this car, all i was looking for is a little sound out of the exhaust untill i actually decide if i wanna drop money into it or not .. and when i said exhaust tip i meant something like a fartpipe just so it would echo a bit more than it already does

To get a different sound, you need a different muffler.

I agree with the posts above. A tip won't change the sound though it can help project the sound better.
