Hi,
My wife has a 2007 Mazda Hatchback. When it had 6k miles on it we took it in for an oil
change. The service rep came up to us after waiting for an hour to get the oil changed and told us that the oil pan was leaking and was being repaired. Having had four Miatas all made in Japan and this one is 98% Janpanese, I thought this was unusual.

I was taken back for proof and their was oil smeared all over the skid plate. I was told this was a problem they had been having with Mazda 3's when talking to a service manager this afternoon. This dealership has had three different service managers in 1.5 years. I had read they rotate personnel between their dealerships all the time. I like a dealership that I can get to know the people. Anyway, has this a problem with the Mazda 3's. ? - Sammieg

 

never had any problems with oil leaks. almost 35k on my car and not a spec of oil leaking.
