Average Speed Display
Average Speed Display
Just bought a Mazda 3 sedan a couple of days ago. I am noticing the Average Speed does not go past 17 mph even after driving the car home from the dealer on the Highway. I reset it and the same thing. It does not go past 17 mph. I will give it a couple of days or so, But has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance.
my speed settled at 31, pretty much from day one.... long trips don't change it, think it's an average over a long time (1000 miles or something).
But it doesn't reset unless you pull the battery or cluster fuse (I think it's the cluster).
What year / model do you have, and let us know where it settles out... along with the MPG - see how accurate that is, I know mine's stuck between 31.4-31.5 over the time i've owned it. in reality its 29-31 depending on the outside temperature.

I got a 2012 Sedan Model. The average speed can be set anytime with this model. I reset it while driving on the Highway and it was accurate saying my average speed was around 65, but as soon as I got off the highway it did go back down fast back down to around 30 in no time at all. I guess it is what it is.. Thanks for the reply.
