Went down to track :(

Well went down to the track , squeeked off 2 runs .
MOROSO RACE PARK in Jupiter Florida

First run
R/t = 1.254
1/4 18.563
Mph= 74.82

2nd run
1.03 R/T
1/4 18.704
MPH 74.62

Dont you think a 2000 ES auto with exhaust and intake can do better? Or am I just a bad driver?
This was my first time by the way.

By the way I went up against a FIRE HAWK ON SLICKS and it RAN A 12.40 at 114.54 MPH!

I WAS OUT OF MY LEAUGE to say the least

I don't think you're a bad driver, you're going on a straight line with an auto, there isn't much to do besides step on the gas.

I could be wrong though.

That's pretty slow.

Kinda made me laugh, not because our cars are slow, but because my last car could run mid-low 13's. Now I'm in the 17's...

I'd power brake it, let the automatic shift for itself, and take the spare tire and jack out of the trunk.

Yeah track is literally 15 minutes from here , wednesday and friday night 6pm 11 pm 15 $ all you can race.

Yeah i left spare tire in , didnt brake torque either.
Must have been funny as hell to the crowd seeing me go up against a supercharged Fire Hawk On SLICKS.

****** redlighted second time thoe, SO I WIN , LOL.
He said he had 418 whp. I said I might have over 100whp

Funny thing is he almost doubled my MPH.

props for actually taking the car to the track and extra props for posting truthful results!

try lowering you tire pressure in your fronts (25-27 PSI). if you have an automatic, you gotta power brake (previously mentioned) at the start. what's your 60 foot time?

Dam I should have power braked then ,

My 60 foot time was 2.7 seconds. That is slow I know it is.

4 Speed Auto no power off the line

I'll Have to brake torque off the line next time to around 2k rpm?

Then let er' rip, I should be in the 17's I know I should.
Intake and exhaust has to do something.
