Turbo MP3 1/4 times?

Anybody have a guess at what a turboed mp3 with exhaust and such to match would run in a 1/4 mile? Assume the driver is pretty good...

Think it has a shot against a wrx?

hmmmmmm ill take a guess that a turbo mp3 can run some high 14's, about the wrx thing, im gonna say no, due to the higher hp, and AWD, but hey give it a shot.

This is running 6psi of boost. Not sure what the hp rating would be?

I'd guess somewhere just under 200 or so? maybe a little more?(purely a guess) This is the BEGI system..

Also has a findanza flywheel..

This is a car I'm probably going to buy, just wanted to see where it is at P

On another note, I hear there is a fuel managment system for the mp3 comming out? As well as a piggyback system? Any info on these? Would they be worth the cash? (guessing around $2k for the fuel managment and like $800 for the piggyback system)

Thanks,
Kyle

ive seen the hiboost mp5 run 13.8 1/4
this is with a stock fs-de motor w/ bolt on turbo kit @ 12 psi, and only a clutch.
with stock tires.
that faster than a lighty modded wrx.

i gonna guess at 180hp, which is, give or take 158whp. (15% drivetrain loss)

a WRX has 227hp and (merely a guess) about 170whp. (25% drivetrain loss) IIRC, Sport Compact Car dyno'd it at like 167whp. i believe it has a 60/40 torque split. so maybe like 68whp to the rear and 102whp to the front....i really don't know how an AWD system figures into the numbers, so i could just be spewing nonsense...

Your down on power and traction, but your up on weight Your greatest obstacle is your power to traction ratio.....
....but it's never over, he could miss a shift, bog the **** out of it at launch...anything could happen. But take it to the track, don't be a dumbass and go street racing.

Now put a 323 GTR next to it (as it should be, both being factory boosted AWD rally oriented cars) While the GTR still suffers from AWD drivetrain loss, it has less weight and thus would beat the WRX, assuming all else is equally matched.

thanks for the replies.. once I get the car I'll track down a wrx to challenge and see what happens

And yes, of course I will be at the track.. while I do like to take the occasional civic rice burner off the line real quick.. I don't go out and do something stupid like street racing. This isn't to say that I haven't, but I was young and stupid at the time..

I've seen modded WRX's on street tires turn 1.8 sec 60ft times (built to STX rules for Autocross). In comparision, thats as fast as a Corvette Z06 on race rubber, or a well setup CSP car (MR2, Miata or CRX) on race rubber.

I would definately try the rolling start if I were to pick a fight with a WRX, followed by a series of tight curves

the WRX has 35 Kgm of torque...the mp3 turbo has no chance.
