Hey wait ... maybe the Quebecois are measuring the track in metric and only going 1/4 Km instead of 1/4 Mile
(sorry, couldn't resist)

Man there are so many different things that affect the 1/4 mile time of a car. Also no 2 cars are exactly alike just look at the people that have the engine rattle and those that don't. Quit yer bitchin!

- Oh sure... pull the "we poor french canadians are always getting knocked down b.s" I'm sorry, I've spent 37 years listening to you wine about this and that. "we need french signs cause english is our 2nd f*@king language, we want to be our own country, but oh ya, Canada still must support us with their industry. And yes your cars are faster, and you can drive better... and all because you live in Quebec. Bite me.

And I hope our friends from the US don't judge all of us up here based on our Quebec posters.

hmmm.... so you know how I drive? Just for the record I drove 35ton front load trucks for Laidlaw (in the city) for 10 years, both here and in Ontario. I was also driver trainer in Kitchener Ontario. I used to dump approx. 150-175 bins a day. 13spd. 5 days a week. Work out how many shifts that is. Yes, I can drive better than you. (Not to forget the driving courses paid for by the company. If you can threshold brake an airbrake equipped vehicle, you'll impress me.) As for drag racing, done my share.

As for being an *** kisser... doubt it. Do I care if anyone likes me? No. The politics thing, ok wrong forum

Your times dont jive... you said you would prove yourself. Please feel free to do so.

As for the last statement of mine. I dont want anyone to think all Canadians walk around with their head up their butt.

one word for you man : F bomb...
hmmm, how do trucks operate, with a rocket engine?

And please answer this, how come you guys are getting better results then the proffesional drivers. I've seen a 1/4 time for a 3rd gen sedan and it was 16.7 seconds. It's hard to believe that you beat that by .7 seconds....
Quick_SiR, sorry I didn't read the post correctly, I saw the video, and I believe you now. What did you have done to the car at the time.
Once again, those times are all very quick, too quick in my opinion to be driver related. Drag racing takes skill, but after the launch, there's only so much that a driver can do to improve over another drivers time....
<political debate>And as for the french-Canadian thing.... give it a rest, I used to live in Sherbrooke and I'm sick and tired of the separatists. If it was up to me, I'd let Montreal join the rest of Canada, and then let whoever wants to split split.... </political debate>

QuickSir, I like your intro

And I just checked, you had a Type R clutch, and an intake when you did 14.98 sec run? That's still really quick, but I guess it makes sense. What's the 1/4 for a stock SiR (Si for the States)?

nice language

There is this wonderful thing call a Hp. calculator here is the link
http://www.s-series.org/htm/calc/hpcalc.htm

Now taking out the seat and spare (-50lbs approx) and adding you (160lbs?) car weight 2714= 2824lbs approx.

so your running 135.6 wheel hp. (or) 162.9 brake hp. approx. of course.

As for the French Canadian thing, if you look back, your friend PatProtegeGT1 played the French Canadian card first. If you dont share his opinion of the "man always trying to get the French Canadian down" I withdraw my earlier political comment. I have relatives from Hull & Montreal also. (not that that matters)

Don

It seem like everybody is more calm then the other day. It's good to see that.

I was very angry ans I'm sorry for some comment that I wrote. I have nothing against American ans English canadian. I like to poat on your board, it make pratice my english.

But the times that we claims are REAL, the track that we uses is NHRA approved so please stop saying that it's impossible because it is possible. Maby the times that we have have been done on cold day but I don't remember.

Stay cool and take care.
