MP5 1/4 Mile Times

people....... why is everyone getting offensive?
Take a chill pill
Have you got kms clocked on your car?
I have dyno'd my car....I got 70kw at the wheels.......
When i did the dyno I did a run afterwards on a gtech (And they are pretty spot on I don't care what anyone says.) and I pulled a 16.75...... that was at 25?? kms on the clock....
I did it recently with 43?? kms on the clock and it pulled a 16.51...... Now if you guys are as smart as you say you are...... you should know that a stock engine is in no shape to be pulling good times...... The pistons are still brand spanking new, they can't move as freely as a car with 27000kms on the clock..... I'm pretty confident that the car has potential to do a LOW 16 when its run in properly.........
Then again, if your stubborn you will probably diregard the gtech time and want more OFFICIAL proof? yeah?
Well what it comes down to is this............. You can argue all you like and disregard everything anyone tells you.......... BUT.... The people who see the car do the times believe it...... and you dont need anymore satisfaction than that.... When I take it to the track in the dry season I'll ask for a print out...... no.... make that 3 different printouts of 3 different times...... ok? But I'm sure you will find something wrong with that......
This is a message to everyone that has a P5 and is happy with what you got.......... You have not been jipped in anyway...... If you are happy with your car, good luck to you my friend..... Your car is as good as you want it to be..... It's a classy car and a FAST one too. Anyone who is happy with their car will agree that their car will perform very good when it is run in........
I bid you fairwell my fellow P5 people you have got one of the best cars on the road whether you like to admit it or not... JAP CARS FOREVER

.... shhieeeeaaaiitttt
My buddy has a tiburon that ran a 16.072 stock with a trap speed of only 85.23 , 60ft was 2.427.... now that he is runnin 15.3 his trap speed is 88 ... so how do u figure you can get 88 out of a 16 second run... ... *cough* bullshit* cough** ...
#22
the lower the 60ft the slower you get to the trap
the higher the 60ft the higher mph at the trap
its not complicated.
when i did 16,05 i think my trap speed was 86mph ( but a 60ft of 2,1
when i did my 16,02 my mph was 88 but my 60ft was 2,4
the higher the 60ft the higher mph at the trap

5 Guardian,
How is a car (Tiburon) with almost 20 more hp and slightly less torque with better gearing than our car getting the same trap speed as you're alleged 88 mph in 16.02? I could bearly break 80 mph in the 1/4 in the fall when i raced @ the DSM import races. I could only get a 16.82 personal best out of 4 practise runs, 2 qualification runs and 1 elimination round! True I was still learning how the car needed to be driven but by the third or fourth run I was within 4/100's of a second between my last 4 runs. With the consistancy I'am having and having a car with the spare removed like yours I couldn't even dream about 16 flat! Sorry to raise the bullshit flag again but I have 6 years of competitive bracket racing experience and with a whole season to learn my car better I cannot see me taking anymore time off than about another tenth of a second. I do agree that mileage is a factor with this but I had a 7000 Km well broken in motor @ the time. The only way I can see a 16 flat for real with a stock P5 would be some amazing driving accurate shifting and you would have to weigh about 50 lbs.... :

okay, one question for 5 Guardian and Quick SiR, where do you guys get your slips? Is the track downhill? There's gotta be something to it, since you can't be getting those times with the cars that you guys drive...
Post a video somewhere so that we can all check it out
