I was go to that, but a buck 80 miles and 3 hours of driving to the middle of nowhere, didn't seem too appealing on a day that was destined for rain as usual. Anyway congrats and i look forward to going next year.

when you put it that way, i'm a big p*ssy for not going. I also found out about it the day before and just didn't have the motivation to roll out of bed. But next year i can't wait to sit on the outside of a turn and duck behind signs when they rip by. or maybe i'll just hide behind the full cooler of beer.

I will try my best to get to the Maine Forest Rally. I have had a few chances, but could not take advantage of the opportunity - damn classes

I cooked the last engine in one rally at Rim of the World. Trying to grunt through sloppy goat trails in torrential rain with an engine that only worked from 5000 rpm up. The new engine pulls right from 3000 up to 8000. It's awesome.

1hr to go ....

Edit at 11:04 . already a few mins in and got a good shot of the Protege over a jump while the announcers were breaking down the different classes.

Ughh... What terrible coverage. I get better coverage when I get 3rd! WTF?

Congrats to Mazda! I haven't watched it yet, now I know the ending...

Speed Channel doesn't seem to be too up on rally coverage. At least they are re-broadcasting the WRC Rally from Cyprus today at 2pm EST. They used to have coverage for each day, now they have one 2 hour deal for the whole thing, and the last one (prior to Cyprus) was only shown once!

I also hate that on my Dish (don't know about other services) the events show up as "Auto Racing". Why can't they put Rally in there somewhere? Otherwise I have to scan through everything manually on my PVR to record. PITA

I can't believe they showed more footage of the Group-2 VW's than the winning Protege!

I bet they just didn't have the footage for some reason, and I am thinking they build their coverage around their footage.
