i got to make lots of runs at PIR this last weekend. My car is stock besides an axle-back exhaust . It is an 2003 protege es with the 2.0 motor. I averaged around 16.8 at 80-81 mph with a best time of 16.6 .
here is the breakdown of the 16.6 run

I ran against a really fast neon. He suprised me. He ran a 15.3 and trapping at 91mph. not bad eh?
Any advice on how to improve my 1/4 times guys?

 

Lose some weight off the vehicle.

Try running lower tire pressure in the front for more grip. Pump up the rears for less rolling resistance.

Lose some weight off your body if you could use it anyways.

 

i had already tried removing weight. I ran with 1/3 tank of gas instead of 1/2 and i remove the spare and other stuff in the trunk. Too bad i only had one run that day and couldnt tell if it made a difference. I did a 16.8 @80.73 mph beating a 96-98 civic ex with intake, exhaust and wires. He ran a 18.0x @ 77mph. i was surprised i won by so much. Thanx for replying though

how much did your flywheel help? can u post your time before and after. Yeah that was my first win in dragging 1/4 mile. felt pretty good
