Group Buy: Spark Plug Wire Covers - 1stGEN DOHC

These are for the DOHC engine only.

I don't have pics yet, as soon as i do, i will be sure to post. But i gather you all know what they look like. They go in the valve cover groove of the DOHC motor to cover up the spark plug wires.

this is a one time oppurtunity they will not be made again, the program has been custom written to do them to save us shop time, just have to pay for machine time and materials.

They are made out of high quality aluminum and cut on a cnc machine so all edges are perfectly rounded and matched to the valve cover and all surfaces are smooth.

If you are interested in getting one made email John at lowrdegt@aol.com and he'll add your name to the list and when he gets enough to start making them he will give a final count and they will be made and sent out, he's going to make them no matter what the quanity, just makes the price cheaper.

we are looking at about $40 per plug cover if I can get an order of 10 or more, at 20 or more I can get them for $35 a cover and then at 30 or more we are looking at $30 a cover.

I can answer basic questions posted here, but anything really technical, best to go direct to John.

I e-mailed John and he responded that it was for the 2nd Gen Protege. Much disappointment.

MazdaSpeedWest,
Will you have a pic of one before he makes them, or is he doing them all at once? Just want to make sure it is as nice as the picture in my head.

well from the description, it will be as nice as you think, all cnc machined and professionally made.

I totally understand and i feel the same way, as soon as i can get a pic, i will post it. I am just the messenger for this group buy, i have nothing else to do with it.

As for engraving, i thought about that too, but best to email John direct for that question. I was also thinking of powder coating mine a charcoal to match the valve cover.

So, does that mean they're going to be a polished aluminum finish? If so, that'll look great with my polished valve cover !

how do these suckers bolt in properly? just curious.. might be an option for me in the future, i know you're gonna be limited on being able to get at least 10 orders, but i'd be in if you can give me some idea of how these are mounted. i'd like to clean up my engine compartment soon, so who knows
peace

Has anyone received their cover?

Early last month I was informed that there was a small missadjutment and the covers were not fitting. Better fitting ones would be sent out shortly when available. It has been about a month and all I get is silence from enquires.
