More MX Sportif pics

Oh man, I can't believe some people aren't liking this. This thing is gorgeous! In case you haven't figured it out, this is the concept for what will be the Protege5 replacement.

And the best part...

how are you supposed to open the doors? does the silver part pushes into the door? "D-Pillar" sucks, looks like a Vibe but the interior is nice.

I love the car. I think it looks awesome.

BUT I REALLY WANT TO SEE THE SEDAN. Where are the 'carshow' pics for the sedan?

interior looks too busy, the 6 is much simpler and cleaner.

the exterior makes it look like a suv.

Wow!

That car is to die for! Civic, Corrolla and Jetta are dead! The interior looks very up market to me. It is interest ing that the interior of a small car puts the interior of a Lexus (IS300) to shame. Go Mazda!

I think the door handles will be redesigned for the production model. They'll probably have pull-style doors like the Mazda6 and RX-8.

I'd like it a lot more if it were another vehicle in the lineup, not a replacement for the P5. Let that compete with the vibe/matrix/element, but keep the sleek, small, P5!

Yeah, the P5 was an awesome car. They got rid of it in only 2years. It never really had a chance.

This new 3 is sweet!

Very sleek styling, like the RX330 trend.

Very muscular and customized look.

Beautifully designed exterior with smooth and elegant curves.

Nice dual exhaust tips.

Looks better than the Matrix (and a lot better than the Element).

Nice drop and rims.

Interior is a bit too busy (another one has mentioned this) or business-like. Hope a lighter color will do.

Hope AWD and Mazdaspeed versions will be on their ways.

Too bad Mazda didn't have the foresight to import the 5-door to the US until 2002 -- then there'd be plenty more used ones available for us!! I have seen pics of the '99 -'00 edition available elsewhere in the world, and probably would have picked one of those if they had been available here when I bought my used '99 sedan. At least Mazda USA seems committed to this body style for Gen4 and beyond! Just hope they don't screw up the sedan.
