Hyundai name brand identity

i saw it on hyundais website about 5 years ago! I haven't visited their website in years.
Last I heard they were naming proto-engines like "beta, delta, gamma etc. It was listed in their "concept" sections. maybe they still have it up.

It's important for the car companies to be developing stuff like that, but if it doesn't filter down (for whatever reason, i.e. it's not Hyundai's fault we don't have a hydrogen fuel infrastructure), then what?

I think it's great that they are trying to find all of these alternative fuel sources, and giving these tax credits for Hybrid vehicles. But what about Bio-Diesel? My friends TDI Jetta gets better gas mileage than the Prius.
Why not grow our fuel instead of paying farmers not to grow anything.
Maybe the oil companies really are evil. :sarcastic shock:

Biodiesel is great, but I'm still wondering why no one has come out with a diesel electric hybrid. Same concept as a normal hybrid, but with a diesel or turbo diesel pushing it. Can you say 90 mpg?

diesel hybrid defeats the purpose of each other.
diesels have very limited redlines and make a lot of torque down low. Electric motors ONLY work down low as they porduce 100% torque at 0rpms.
In current hybrids the elcetric motor is used for easy driving up to 40mph. At 40mph (give or take) the gasoline engine takes over. Thats why they get worse mileage on the interstate than around town.
Biodiesel is the wave of the future. I've been screaming it for 6-8 months and in a few years when it come sto pass I'll say "I told you so".
p.s. I've thought about running for a local office here to try to correct a lot of the "old guy" plans we currently have in place. They don't work anymore.

Which hybrid are you refeering to getting to 40 before it uses the gasoline engine? The insight, which only weights 1800 pounds goes to 20 or so...
but anyways, I sat in a Hyundai accent coupe awhile back and I have to say, it lacked much quality on the interior... and the seats were a joke.

i went to the building where they make them. It's real nice. I'd love to work there. They make $26/hr with awesome benefits and Hyundai isn't like GM. they are growing hand over fist and can afford to pay their employees.

I want the Sonata to outsell the Accord and Camry. When I saw the first pictures of it, I thought to myself that this was going to do really well. It looks sharp--more exciting than the Camry and Accord (I don't even like the restyled rear end, as much as it helps) for sure. The prices are nearly unbeatable. I hope it holds together for a long time. I've sat in them and everything looks and feels good. The new Azera is interesting. Talk about huuuge on the inside. This experience with the Azera was at the LA Auto Show, to note. The outside is interesting--not as good as the Sonata's exterior, but the interior does well enough (Hyundai doesn't know how to stuff a million retarded buttons on the inside, so it makes for a slightly stark interior...comparatively...it's still fine though). The seats get a 10 out of 10 for immediate comfort. Better than a lot of luxury/near luxury cars (like Acura's TL). The back seat is way roomy too--like an S class (RIP 2000-2005 S class).
So kudos to Hyundai. They've been coming up fast and I hope they shake things up in the midsize car catagory.
...oh ya, the new Camry gets the award for the downright worst and ugliest hood cut line. Woof.
