I was just reading through the paper and after the factory and loyalty rebates, I've seen automatic Mazda 6's going for under $15,500. That's quite a discount for a $20,000 car, in fact it's cheaper than Protege's at MSRP. How low have you seen them go for? Are they selling that poorly?

the 4 cylinder's aren't selling too great, most of the ones that are in the 15500 range are pretty lightly optioned out. Honestly it seems that a lot of the dealers are getting thinned out of the 6 a bit. Just about time for a new model year. I hear it's fairly difficult to find a 6s with a 5spd adn sport package, there around, but mazda corporate is sold out of them. Notice that most of the good deals on the 6, ie 0% 1500 cashback etc. are on the non sport equiped models. Makes me think that the sport models are sellign quite well but the non sport ones aren't. Seems to hold true on what I see at the dealerships. (mostly non sport models now)
