The Vortec super charger looks like it would be easier to custom fit to our cars. Have any of you thought about it? Looks like a turbo to.

I personally don't like centrifugals for small engines. All the problems of a turbo (lag) with none of the benefits. They are basically a crank driven turbo which means they are dependent on RPM to make boost. They work great on v-8's because the engine still makes some torque before it makes boost. Doesn't happen on the smaller engines. Have you ever seen the power curve from the Vortech blown Civic Si? It looks like a wedge. Sure, it made 276 HP at 8000 RPM but only made 220 at 7000. Not a very flexible power band.

Exactly, atleast with a turbo your not loosing as much. A positive displacement Supercharger M62 or M90 from GTP's, Tbird Supercoupes, Bonner-ville SSEi etc, will be a very sweet addition. This Engine On 8psi from an m90 would produce a bucketload of torque.
With the right cam, you could make very decent power almost everywhere throughout the rev range.
