AHHHH but we do have to do the check valve trick!!! Me and Spoolin both had to add check valves as we were getting a CEL because of the boost. Look on the vacuum routing on the hood of the 3rd gen and in the top left hand corner of our engine bays you will find our wonderful boost sensor that also takes manifold presure measurements

I noticed that on the engine vac decal yesterday and was wondering why our N/A cars would have a boost sensor for?

Its just a MAP sensor damn mazda putting both a MAP and MAF on our cars to cross reference the 2 readings in the ECU. I know that it is the same boost sensor though that they used in teh 3rd gen RX-7 I crossed the part # with my buddys rex and I thought that was kinda of surprising.

Where exactly did you place the check valves? I put two between the two sensors like pictured over at MP3.com. I'm having problems with the ECU seeing the boost and cutting the fuel at WOT. Feels like you hit a wall. I've got a Vortec 12:1 FMU coming and I'm hard wiring the fuel pump straight to the battery bypassing the controls.
Thanks in advance,

MAP is the a sensor that read the amount of pressure + or - in the intake manifold and the MAF is sensor the read the amount of air flow coming in to though the intake. The ECU use these two to meter the amount of air coming into the motor so it knows how much fuel and spark to give to get efficient combustion. Mostly in my opinion an emissions compliance thing. For the experts out there feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

FYI By the way I correctly placed check valves before the MAP sensor and fouled the ECU in not seeing the boost I'm producing from the turbo and got rid of my Fuel Cut problems, YAAHOO!

Giving over 12v to your pump all of the time will cause it to overheat. A lot of the supra guys were having problems with that mod. You would be better off getting a second pump, or a higher flowing pump in the tank. Your more then likely going to need twin pumps, if your going to be running a 12 to 1 fmu (5psi of boost will be about 103psi of fuel pressure). Even the best walbro won't flow well at that psi. But there are some that will, if your interested.
