Td04

I have access to a TD04, but from what I've heard it looses its breath at higher RPMS. Having full boost by 2800rpm sounds nice, but do you think this turbo is too small? My redline is however only 6500.

Also, is the flange from a T25 the same as the TD04?

Basically, i can get the TD04 for free, so that's the only reason I'm considering. Chaging out later on won't be any trouble.

What TDO4 Is it?
TDO4-9B-6CM2 265 CFM
TDO4-13G-5CM2 360 CFM
TEO4-13C-6CM2 360 CFM

Also might be one of the TDO4L series
TDO4L-13G-6CM2
TDO4L-15C-8.5CM2

Also since your getting it for free the turbo probly isn't in the best shape, but rebuild kits arn't much and not too hard to do. If you can get it for free or low cost (even if you can/don't want to use it) use it as a sweet paper weight/pencil holder.

It's free and in great condition, jost removed from my friends Eclipse because he is upgrading... I honestly don't know which one it is, I'll have to chat with him.

Blah I might as well stay with my T28.

I'm guessing it was a stock turbo, and his car is an automatic?

Then the turbo is the TDO5H-14B-6CM2 405 CFM.
I say use that over the T25

Here are some specs of the diferent Turbos of that family.
TD05-14B (stock 1st gen) 275-300hp @ 21 psi
TD05-16G (small) 345-365hp @ 22 psi
TD06-16G (large) 365-385hp @ 22 psi
TD06-20G 430-450hp @ 22 psi
T25 (stock 2nd gen) 235-250hp @ ?? psi
T3 (super 60)/T2.5 hybrid 265-280hp @ ?? psi
T3 (super 60)/T2.8 hybrid 270-320hp @ ?? psi

Also, to answer the earlyer question about the the two turbos having the same mounting flange, yes they use the same mounting flange.

Nuh uhhh!, I'll have my Moshimoto ZX tires for good grip and my Motec system exhaust for the hole shot! Not to mention I'm swapping a rotary into the Pro too!

WTF, the main package wasn't delivered and it turned to "Exception" under tracking. So I called up and they said it was put on the wrong trailor, it would get to me today. (13th)

Well I'll be heading out of town this morning for the next 7 days. I gotta find someone to hold it for me. For real, if there is anyway you can, try and get your money back for them loosing it. Timing was impeccable, because you knew I was going out of town

Anyways, everything in the first package is good. Little bit of oil leakage but nothing major.

BTW what is the orange tube for?
You should have my cell number just in case, Should be in your mail, I mailed it to you once.

Cheers

Orange TUbe? I think you are referring to the red tube that was in teh box with the intercooler. it was just a 2" silicone piece of tube I was going to use to cut into sections and use as couplings. Hence the marks on it where to cut.
