new 440 rc injectors and tubo story

First I want to explain the back ground of this. I bought my stuff from Juan (HiBoost) and I put everything on. I was the first auto to use his kit on this board that i know of. I was hesitant, but Juan backed me up and said everything will be smooth and fine. I proceeded to buy his kit.

Something was wrong since day one. I had to start the car 2-4 times before it would start. It would idle very rough and inconsistant. It would hesitate in any gear. Boost would not kick in until 5500 RPMS. The A/F meter would go nuts if you stayed in a constant speed and it would "shake". This was getting very annoying and made me very pissed off. I talked to Juan and we are both clueless as to whats wrong. Every other kit he sold was running perfect, Pirana was running it by now and hes AOK. Everything was hoooked up right.

I put on a 3 in straight pipe exhaust (no cat, no muffler, no resonator) that bitch was LOUD, no backpressure. Made the turbo now boost clear up to 13 PSI. Since the boost was not smooth when it kicked it, it started making my tranny slip around 8 psi to 13. As you can tell by now I am about to drive this POS off a cliff with me in it. It ran LIKE ****.

It was having so many probs Juan was going to fly to KC to look and fix it, thats how wierd all this was. I orderd 440 injectors from him with new mapping and he sent a adjustable actuator to.
I hook up the new injectors last night and load the new mapping.

The problem had to have been with the original map that was loaded because changing injectors wont fix my problems I had alone. But this is what happend....

There is NO MORE knock at 8psi or 10psi
The boost is "there" at 2500 RPMs
The boost is so smooth now at 10 psi the tranny DOES NOT SLIP
The is NO hesitation
It takes 1 time to start maybe 2 if its cold
It does not "shake" at constant speeds
It runs VERY KICK *** NOW

I still get a CEL if I really get on it in first but before I would get a CEL driving even without going into boost, but now its hard to get a CEL but I can.

Juan has been very very nice and understaning and VERY helpful and VERY supportive. DO NOT THINK that you will have these problems like I did, mine was just a bogus thing and its only me this has happend to but now its fixed. Juan has KICK *** customer service. (thanks juan) me and him think its the EGR that is causing the CEL. I will block that ASAP.

Ok with all that and very good news lets see the friggin pics!

On the injectors you have to cut off your old stock connectors and add the new spacers. very easy to do. loading the map is very easy to do, a monkey can do it. and having the real time engine date so you can see as you drive is just bad ***. I am very happy, car is running VERY kick *** just need to block the EGR.

Bottom line, car kicks ***, trav happy. BUY HIBOOST THEY KICK ***!

PS: if you want these injectors contact juan, he can give you a great price. comes with everything to install and a floppy with the new mapping on it (if you are running a haltech)

peace- Trav

no i am not maxing out. on stock injectors you can go to 10 psi.

stock injectors i was at 60-70 duty cycle at 8 psi. with the 440s at 13 psi im at like 40-50. i have a laptop in my car that tells me EVERYTHING real time with the haltech. I run f10 stand alone fuel system with aux controlled pielburg 250 pump. fuel rail soon.

i dont know the max hp but i know they can take the 400 i have planned. you will need to talk to Juan at hiboost. www.hiboost.com he can set you up with a set because not only do you need the injectors you need the rail spacers and connectors. he has them as a kit. and can answer any fuel questions.
