Well, a slight change in plans - that's pretty normal for me, lol! I just bought a GTX motor today with ecu and full harness for $950. The guy's got one more in case anyone's interested .....

well....

Any ideas how to get an FMIC in there while keeping the A/C system intact? I'd rather not mess around with the crash braces too much, you never know . It'd be nice to have a top mount, but uh.... maybe I could find a rusty hood in a j-yard and punch a hole... that'd be cost effective .

RKives -- sorry if I missed it -- what did you do about the knock control module? And how much $$$ ?

And how much are those service manuals on CD?

Nope, no ideas yet. I think that's gonna be the hardest part of the swap, along with extending the harness. I've even thought about looking for a Sparco IC, but most of the ones I've seen are too deep. I imagine it's just gonna be one of those things that I figure out once the job starts.

No - sorry guys. Actually I'm more of the one who's sorry ... I really wanna get that bitch in there ! We're moving in about eight weeks into our new house. I'd hate to get my car all torn apart and started and then figure out that I can't get it done before I move. It'll probably work out better this way though. My friend at work has a Nissan Pathfinder that he said he'd let me borrow while I do the swap, but it's his daughter's and she needs it until she goes back to college at the end of August.

I might have found a 323 with no A/C that I could try it on. That would make fitting an intercooler easier. (Light car, too). So what's the deal with the knock control module?

I have a lead on a GTX ECU, wiring harness from an auto wrecker in Australia. The guy said he will even throw in a knock control module for free. He is asking $500 Australian. That's like $332 US

My wife will not let me pour any more money into my little money pit so I'm not going to get it. Mine works fairly well with the N/A ECU.

He can be contacted at: formazpartsplus@bigpond.com.au

I AM FORMAZ PARTS PLUS

He even said he has a GTR front clip.

He is pretty slow at repying to e-mails though.
