Electromotive TEC2 standalone.

Time to fine tune my setup. The FMU works...but I get better acceleration at 90% than WOT. It just dumps in too much fuel, and I ruined a set of perfectly good O2 sensors in 6 months.

I am going to keep you updated on everything.

And to all those who are thinking about going turbo or already have, I say, save the extra money and just buy a freaking standalone or a good AIC that can retard ignition. I gaurantee better results than a FMU or RRFPR.

I JUST purchase it, no telling when I'll have the time to leave school, drive back and have it installed and tuned.

I figured since all these fools post being excited over an intake, I should post being excited about a real mod.

I also, have some Bling Bling professional mandrel bent powedercoated intercoolerpiping going in, plus my turbo downpipe and manifold will be polished. Everything will be oh-so-pretty. Right now it's hideous.

But if I get enough request I'll do a pictorial of installation..

Like I said, I have no idea when I'll have time to do it...Spring Break I'm going on vacation, the first week after graduation, more vacation, so it might be a while unless I can find an open weekend.

This is the website for the TEC3...it's a bit more fancy than the TEC2, but should give you an idea.

FMU - Fuel Management Unit - Runs inline with your fuel return line after the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Basically restricts fuel back to the tank so that the engine compensates by sending more fuel. They come in diffferent increments such as 8:1 10:1 and 12:1. Basically what that means is for every pound of boost the intake manifold shows(from a vacuum source) it sends 8, 10 or 12 more psi of fuel. I run a Vortech 10:1 FMU.

AIC - Additional Injector Controller - Controlls another set of injectors to send more fuel to the engine.

RRFPR - Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator - Not too much experience with these, do these run off a vacuum source the same way the FMU does? But they also increase fuel pressure during boost.

Note to self: Do not brag about intake. And make enough money to be able to buy "real mods." Until then, quit trying.

what is funny , is that , I see people wanting to drop big rims on there car, and slam it and whatever, but I try to get them to get into dropping a turbo on their ride , or swapping the 1.5 out or something ,, cause if your gonna go get those big rims, you may as well have some horses to back up your looks , for when someone wants to test you ... Hey if your pushing 190 or 240 hp with 17's or 18's on then what can anyone say to you when you smoke em and still look good doing it
NOTHING

Yeah, the one I have on my setup from BEGI will accually start raising the fuel pressuer before boost onset to smooth out the transition to the smiling zone.

I was being serious. I know my car isn't as good as yours. I was just stating a reply for all of us newbies so we don't have to bother you. Your car could kick my cars ***. I don't have a turbo, and don't know how to put one in. You are a lot better at working at cars than I am. Anything else you need to hear??

Why are you taking it to heart . WE have all been newbies and now we know more than we did when we started so we just try to let you know what are mods that are worth your time and money and also if your efforts were placed into a turbo of a built up engine , before a sound system , you would be suprised how fast your car would be , I mean even me , I wish I had bought my engine instead of rims, but knowing what I know now I can do this , we just try to pass it on to the new guys so they can advance much faster,,,
stop taking stuff so seriously , no one said they were better than anyone so calm down
