I am in the market to buy a BOV. Just wondering if there are any opinions on good-sounding ones or good quality?? I was thinking I'd probably buy the Type-S Turbo XS. What do you guys think?

the airs gotta recycle back into the intake behind the vaf. you can have it blow in the atmoshpere if you want all the registered air blowing out which would cause you to run shitty n rich.

I'm not positive, but I think my VAF is attatched to the intake pipe near the throttle body. In that case, It wouldn't matter is the air blew out as long as the BOV is on the other side of it.

apex'i afc can fix this problem.

for the BOV question: what amount of boost are you going to run? BOV's operate best when used withing specific ranges. check with the manufacturer to find out.

the greddy type s is a very good bov and will hold 20 or more psi. it's very popular and it's hard to go wrong with greddy/trust products.

btw, i still drool every time i see your probe in your signature.

Well I don't have a digital camera, but I know the sensor that senses how much air passes is pretty close to the throttle body. It came with the Haltech Engine Management system.
