A guy here in town is a major distributer for JR, and he (actually owns a P5 of his own too) told me one was in the works for the 2.0L... I'll see if I can get more info, but don't raise the flag. It's true!

WARNING TO ALL!!!!!

I have heard really bad horror stories about Jackson Racing!!!!!
Buyer beware. And as i understand it Jackson Racing (the name) has been sold to another company and they use that name to opperate. and the orignal company is just there to do installs!

this one guy had a supercharger from their and it started leaking oil out of it! he went to the shop 3 times to check it out and they told him that he was seeing things and soon after the supercharge broke. they CHARGED him 300 bucks to take off the supercharger and look at it. that fucked up. anyone just wanted to let every one know about this.

So what should you expect ?

"He also is bitching about the boost levels. Thats retarded. If he didnt know what to expect from a roots style supercharger, thats HIS fault, not the superchargers'. "

---------------------------------------------------

So what can you expect as a HP boost when your looking at say 8 pounds of pressure on a 140 hp Mazda Mp3 ? or the 130 HP Protege 5 ?

there are too many other variables that need to be taken into account when comparing boost to horsepower.

This is an email I recived from them today. I sent an email about an hour or so ago inquireing about the possiblility of the Portege supercharger.

And I wasnt trying to compare boost to HP, I was just wondering what kind of gains you should expect to get out of a supercharger, under mid range pressure.

thanks.

it's hard to make a supercharger for the protege b/c the engine is put in side ways with the belts skqueezed up again the wheel wheel and there not to much room to put one on.
