Anyone Have any thoughts on Haltech?

Does anyone use a haltech ecm on their 3rd gen 2000 1.6 lx? I was interested to know someones progress on that. Thanx

turboge is on a distinguished road
Not really, $1300 is rather cheap for a stand alone with good features. For the 1.6 I'd go with an E-11 instead of an E6K... a lot easier to work with.

Not necessary on a stock motor, would help for Forced Induction.

1300 bucks isn't alot of money for a stand alone but its still 1300 bucks, and thats after u drop 4k for a turbo/install

Would you rather drop another $1000-4000 after you blow up the engine because you thought an FMU would be enough? A standalone is the best investment for power and engine preservation.

well you see i don't have 20 bucks to drop so that is why it is expensive

I would suggest to anyone who can't drop more than $20 on their car.....not to go turbo.
