Question $$$ Nos $$$

How much money do I have to put in my car to put nos in it.
I have heard that nos kills your car... would it really be worth it??
I guess what I am asking, is should I stick with mods like CAI, headers etc...

chdesign has a NOS setup for the Protege that he's selling for $380. PM him if you're interested.

Looks like you have a lot of research to do before you make your decision. N2O isn't something you just jump into. If used properly, there's no reason it should hurt your car at all. I'm currently setting up my car for a 45-65 shot, depeing on the jetting. I'll be getting a high-flow fuel pump, and gauges to monitor my fuel pressure and mixture.

For the power that it gives you N2O is relatively cheap, but it does cost a decent amount of money if you want to do it right (effective and safe). Also, you can expect to pay $25-$45 for a refill on a 10lb. bottle, depending on prices in your area.

Search around this forum and see what the other guys with your engine are doing. That should get you started. Good luck.

BTW - NOS is a company.
