on friday, i got my vivid yellow p5, and on saturday, the firs thing i did when i woke up was replace my head unit with an alpine one. there is an extreme noticable difference between the two head units. i would recommend to everyone that is looking at upgrading their speakers, to upgrade the head unit first, cus personally i think it makes a much bigger difference.

and some people should lighten up, lol. If people used the search button, there would never be a new post in this section. If its not speakers, its head units, if its not head units, its amps, if its not amps, its speakers... buts its allways the same old thread. "Which HU is best"? What speakers fit in the rear door? Its all been done before, but that doesn't (and shouldn't) stop people from asking. Remember, there are no stupid posts, just stupid replies (like this one). Feel free to remove.

 

Actually, I'm glad you posted & got favorable replies. I seem to remember a couple months ago getting into a debate with someone who insisted several times that the differences between the stock HU and a good aftermarket HU were negligable. Congrats on your upgrade & the positive results it brought you... I'll be following suit in the months to come...
