Question Will This Paint Hold Up?

First off, sorry if it's in the wrong section, but it is on the engine, and as such found it to be an engine mod. If it's Interior / Exterior, please send it that way.

Anyway, I just painted my battery cover, fusebox cover, and the little "HOT" hand on the heat sheld. The paint says it's good for 900*F, or like 450*C. Something like that. I just drove the shitzen out of the car after I gave it overnight to dry to the touch. THe paint on the heatshield looks a little darker, but not as burnt as was the other crap I put on before. Will it continue to darken, or is 900*F a good temp paint to use? I don't assume the heat shield will get quite THAT hot, but I did notice it darken a bit. Any ideas?

Update

Well, it's starting to really turn black now, so I guess either the paint was lying, or I didn't wait long enough for it to dry... Now I'm back to square one!
