ok just talked to a company here in washington,i ask him about carbon fibers hoods, he can make some, any color you want.. i wanted red kevlar weave... but the thing is, it cost more to make colored ones.. so he asked mee if i can get 10 or more people to buy CF hoods from him he can get us a good price on any color you want... so if you guys would like to order some then just post it..i need at least ten..

i just canceled my order from protege5online, b/c fiber images is just taking to long... i paid for my hood last feb. and i havnt recd anything... so i canceled it. i tried dgmotorsports and they said it would be possible to make red kevlar, but they said it would look jacked up.( dont understand why)... so if i cant get 10 or more customers then i will have to wait for fiberimages
to finish the hoods, and whos knows when they are going to finish.... or i will have to go through dg... so pls post if you would like cf hoods.

What is the point of a CF hood? Is it just for looks or is there other functionality as well?

Are CF hoods any more rock chip resistant than the stock hood? I had a bunch of chips from rocks this winter and had to touch em all up. I'm afraid that my hood will soon become all touch up paint!!!!

 

well if you get in a (god forbid) small accident, the cf hood probably won't dent at all.....

 

yo djhyper what kind of price is this company offering them for...cuz I ain't willing to pay $700 bucks for one like the FiberImages one....forget all that....if its reasonable I might be interested....let me know whats up....maybe the company will give us a Washington State Resident deal...

So are the ones from Fiberimages on back order or what?? My boyfriend (1fatEs) and I are looking into getting a hood for his car with in the next month or so and we were going to order one through Fiberimages. Do you know how much we would have to pay to get one through this other company, and how good of quality the hood would be? I've seem some really crappy carbon fiber hoods, it's worth paying the extra $$$ if the hood is going to be high quality. Please let us know ASAP. THANKS!!

Why dont you guys order one from dgmotorsports? Out of all the CF hoods Ive seen I think theyve got the best, not trying to promote them or anything, but they've got quality hoods, though they dont come with color like some of you guys want them.

 

no color and they're too damn expensive
