what color calipers

Ok, I've got a midnight Blue P5 and I was thinking of painting the calipers yellow, but after talking to several people they've made me doubt my desicion. So, what color would you paint the calipers? I'm just looking for some other people's opinions. Thanks.

I'd go red. Unoriginal, but still looks nice

Talking

I would probably go silver. Maybe even Red just to make it stand out more.

actually the yellow looks good on a blue car....so does red...and silver....

what kind of wheels do you have on your car? are they silver? or another color? or polished?

pick a color that will compliment your wheels.

what color scheme do you have going on ????

I personally like red............would stand out pretty nicely on a blue car.

With a blue car, if you painted your calipers yellow, it'd look like a Cub Scout in uniform. Blue's a pretty conservative color. How about lime green for the binders? Colors together would vibrate and hurt people's eyes.

LIME GREEN???? I don't think I'll go that far. I still like the yellow, I saw another car like mine with yellow calipers and I thought it looked pretty good. decisions, decisions.

Well, lime green near blue would certainly set up a bit of visual dissonance, may be not what you want. But you could try it and paint it over if you didn't like it. If you did, you'd be breaking new ground.

Yellow is a near-complementary color to blue, according to rules of color theory in design. They are nearly 180 degrees opposite of the color wheel. (IKEA and Swedish flag come to mind)

Red and blue although not complementary is the traditional combination to create a feeling of excitement. (US flag, British flag, and lots of Japanese manga mecha logos use this combination)

Silver and blue is a neutral "safe" choice. (Silver is a shiny grey and grey is neutral, which goes with any color)

Orange and blue are precise complements according to color theory. (Naval and nautical implements have a lot of this color combination)

Purple and blue will not stand out since they are adjacent on the color wheel. (Better not go there)

Yeah, paint them to match the wheels. I think silver will look good fro the most part.
