Weird Spoiler Idea...

Sup everybody!

Okay, i'm having the BRS-Autodesign GT-Widebody Kit bein fabricated for my 08 Speed3 and i'm lookin at spoiler/wing ideas to go along with the Euro kinda style i'm going for (Grew up in the UK, think a straight-up Euro Tuner over here would turn heads).

What i have in my head (seen it somewhere on a Vauxhall Corsa or Peugeot 306) is a wing that extends the lines of the roof about a foot back, not actually connected to the top and supported on 2 steel or CF struts that bolt into the hatchback below the window.

I drew a wee little diagram to make more sense of it in paint-

Name: Spoiler.bmp

Size: 121.7 KB

Yeah, i'm awesome at paint.
With the green bein the spoiler, the light blue bein the pillars it's supported on and the dark blue where it's attached to the car.

I'm almost 100% that this is the direction i wanna go in, so no "You're a tool" replies please, but if anyone has any info on potential fabricators, similar ideas or even pics of different cars with the same general wing idea, i'd really appreciate it!
Thanks, Ya'll!

Not really my cup of tea, but if I was to do something like that to my wagon, I'd go the Mintblue route, with the spoiler attached to the rear hatch.

farmrocket is an unknown quantity at this point
i have never seen anything like that so i duno if i could give you an opinion...would it even be practical tho? like besides perhaps the one-off looks, would it actually be manufactured correctly to be able to do a job, like a spoiler should?

I've seen that mint-blue half-spoiler 'thing' before, i think on a british Civic SI. It cut right across the rear window though... Not what i'm really goin for...

And as far as functionality, well i'm not tryin to put major downforce into the back end, i honestly wouldn't expect much difference in a FWD with 65% weight up front as far as handling. As long as it would still be aerodynamic, and give a Unique-Euro-Vibe to onlookers, the goals i'm aiming for.

Appreciate the input, and good job findin that pic. I'll post pics as soon as i get it done but until then (operational commitments pushing my schedule back about a month) keep up the opinions!
