I would like to know when the pillar pods will be out and weather they will be 2 or 3 gauges. I would also like to know how much you will charging for one? I would like to know I need a 3 pod for my turbo setup

Look, you know that the internet is not secure not matter what you do. I always use a credit card for internet use. That way I know what I have purchased in the net. Visa has a zero deductable on stolen numbers. I purchased mine, have no problems as of today (it may change ) and I received my gauge quick. It was also the quickest mod I have done to my car

umm well actaully you can be "MORE" secure if you have HTTPS running @ 128Bit encryption, its just harder to break 128bit as compared to no encryption (plain text? lol)

Yeah. With current generation computing power it is "impossible" to break 128bit encryption (not impossible but it would take something like a thousand years). SSL, which is the transaction setup that is mainly used on the internet, can only be broken by brute force which require super computers only the US government can afford (and they don't have the time to look at all our crap but watch out if you **** them off). However, this does not insure total security as there have been, in the past and just recently, flaws found in the implementation of the technology. However these attacks are MUCH more difficult to execute than simply setting up a packet sniffer and filtering traffic for certain transactions. These attacks can only be performed by experienced hackers. Not stupid kids (or skiddies).

Just an interesting note but encryption strength is exponential so:

1 bit key = 2 possibles
2 bit key = 4 possibles 2^2
3 bit key = 8 possibles 2^3
4 bit key = 16 possibles 2^4
56 bit key = 72057594037927936 possibles 2^56
128 bit key = 3.4028236692093846346337460743177e+38 possibles or 2^128

And each combination must be tried on a brute force attack to try and determine which is the proper key to decrypt the message. 56bit encryption was considered unbreakable until somebody went and built a special computer to do it (and even then it took hours to decode one transaction).

Im also going to talk to them about maybe me putting in a big order for the pillar pods if they'll focus their attention to it & get it done quicker! We'll see if we can get these pillar pods done!

 

when they DO decode it, the session is timed out and you have to start all over again lol so basically 128bit is "unbreakable" for home computers, mainframes and some super comptuers arn't even fast nuff since all transactions have a timeout of like.. 5 mins?

Normally SSL works like this:

You call me, I send you back a public certificate that tells you how to encrypt the communications you send to me. You send me the same thing back (this is called your "public key"). I send you (or you send me) an encrypted message using the exchanged "public" keys (it is mathematically impossible to decrypt the message with just the public key). When the other computer receives the message it decrypts it using the "private" key. Software usually generates a new private key when it is needed but you can purchase keys from providers that are yours and certify that you are who you are. The web server usually has one of these. You just usually generate one and discard it once the conversation is over.

In essence it is up to the implementation whether they want to switch private keys every few minutes or not. If you are locked on one private keys and you keep resending public keys the hacker could eventually figure out your key, which would suck.

Hey guys, regarding the site to order the pods... That was just something I had setup to get those things available to be ordered before they were released. And primarily, for these message boards only. It was kind of like a, if you really want one.. this is how you have to go about it. But yes, Mitch has placed an order, and he will be making these available on his site shortly. And due to the fact that everyone has stressed such an interest in the pillar pods (Mitch included) they've began production on them and should be available within the next few months.
